Fluid Resistant
Procedure Mask

Procedure masks provide complete protection while remaining light and comfortable.

We offer EN14683 Type IIR (Fluid resistant) procedure masks which are used for performing patient procedures, or when patients are in isolation to protect them from potential contaminants.

Type IIR masks are European standard and are fluid resistant. This kind of mask offers significantly more protection than a standard mask as they block potentially-infected droplets from entering the respiratory system.

Both types (Standard & Type IIR) of masks have EN certificates and both meet European standards.

European Standards

European Standards (ENs) are documents that have been ratified by one of the three European Standardization Organizations (ESOs), CEN, CENELEC or ETSI; recognized as competent in the area of voluntary technical standardization as for the EU Regulation 1025/2012.

Type IIR – EN14683 masks are appropriate to use where the presence of blood, biological fluids or organic patient liquids are present and cause a risk.
